Janssen Evelyn is a dedicated advocate for our District 4 communities. A lawyer and public servant, Janssen has worked on land use, housing, and economic growth at the highest levels in Howard County and Anne Arundel County. As a father, he is vested in building our community for future generations. Janssen has the experience, the energy, and desire to lead positive change as a member of the Howard County Council.

Building Communities
District 4 is a diverse and vibrant place, but too many of our neighbors continue to face challenges that are complex and intersectional, like gaps in educational equity, a lack of housing options that are affordable to all income earners, and growth that doesn’t always meet the needs and aspirations of our residents. Janssen knows how to fill those gaps.
Safe Neighborhoods
Nothing is more important than families feeling safe in their homes. Janssen has been working with residents, nonprofit partners, and local stakeholders to begin crafting a community action plan focused on youth engagement, trauma-informed public safety, restorative practices, and growth opportunities.
Great Schools
Janssen will support full funding for education to support investment in our children's education throughout Howard County, and will work to ensure that the Howard County School system has the funding and resources it needs to provide high-quality education and ensure that every child- regardless of background- has the opportunity to succeed.
